
PalFish Co-produces Beijing Winter Olympics Communication Pocket Book

On February 1, 2022, the book release conference of "A Pocket Book for Winter Olympics Communication in Chinese" was held at Beijing Language and Culture University. PalFish was invited to participate as the co-producer of the book.


"A Pocket Book for Winter Olympics Communication in Chinese" is a tool book on the Chinese language and culture jointly produced by Beijing Language and Culture University, Charhar Institute and PalFish. The pocket book is written in Chinese, English, and French, including greetings and inquiries, conversations on weather, food, sports games, help and emergencies, as well as Winter Olympics cultural tips, pictures and texts. Readers are enabled to scan the code to learn the three languages with audio.
The press conference kicked off with a short film about the new book. After opening remarks and keynote speeches delivered by HAN Fangming, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and president of the Charhar Institute, LI Qiangmin, former Chinese Consul General in Houston, USA, LIU Li, president of Beijing Language and Culture University, and XU Xianmei, deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Zhangjiakou Municipal People’s Government in Beijing, the conference held a grand ceremony for the release of the book, following the book donation to the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Zhangjiakou Municipal Government.

Up to now, Beijing Language and Culture University, together with the Charhar Institute and PalFish, has successively donated nearly 100,000 volumes to the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Zhangjiakou Municipal Government, China’s National Stadium, Confucius Institutes worldwide, universities and other institutions around the world. In addition to presenting and contributing to the Beijing Winter Olympics, the pocket book will continue to serve as an assistant to helping the world’s Chinese language and culture learners and enthusiasts to better understand and engage China.
